Hello Parents!

We will be sending weekly important information via the website and email. We want to streamline communication so we will try to put all information in one place so you are able to find it again. If you miss something, all communications are stored on the Team Website so that you can find anything.

This week morning practices start! Your child was assigned a practice group in Swimtopia. Please check it so that you know when your child should attend practice. These groups are a little different than the evening practices so please double check the group you are in. Practice groups are as follows-

MONDAY, TUESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY

• 6:30-8:00AM - Early Bird Group
• 7:30-8:30AM - Swim Group 1
• 8:30-9:30AM - Swim Group 2
• 9:30-10:30AM - Swim Group 3
• 9:30-10:15 - Ladybugs
• 6:30-7:30PM - PM Practice Group

Wednesdays are special because all of our hurricanes get to practice together. From our youngest to our oldest we combine for 1 hour. We use this opportunity to help build team friendships as well as help our younger swimmers develop skills and learn from their peers. Our older swimmers learn how to teach a skill and leadership while working with our younger swimmers. We do bigs and littles during the practice where swimmers are paired up for the practice. We follow a different schedule EVERY Wednesday.

• 9:30-10:30AM - TEAM PRACTICE - ALL HURRICANES!!!
• 6:30-7:30PM - PM Practice Group

Night Practices will be Monday through Thursday 6:30-7:30

Bigs and Littles are being formed! We are still finalizing rosters but Bigs and Littles will be posted by the end of the week! Bigs and Littles are paired up and the bigs mentor the littles for the season. They help them with skills they are working on as well as cheer for them and help them at meets! Swimmers get their big or little a SMALL gift at the first and last dual meets of each season.

SwimBlast Invitational sign ups are open on the website. This is an invitational, so it is optional. Swimmers are invited to swim the events that they want. It will be Saturday June 20th. If you are interested in swimming at the meet. Go to the website, click schedule, then RSVP and choose the events you want your child to swim.

ALL MEETS are available for RSVP. If you are know your summer schedule feel free to enter your child's RSVP for all meets for the season on the website.

Lastly, we will be having a parent meeting and we encourage you to try to attend one of the meetings. First we have an in-person meeting on Wednesday 6/17 at 9:45am at the pool during our Team Practice. Secondly we will have one on Zoom on Wednesday 6/17 at 7:30pm to introduce ourselves and help ease into the season. The season is fast and furious and can be overwhelming so please listen in on the meeting especially if you are new to help answer questions you might have.
